suites de ses blessures".

patrouille importante, a voulu rester à la tête de ses hommes et est
tombé glorieusement sous les balles ennemies en accomplissant sa
mission".

"A fait la campagne des 18 jours en 1940. Evadé de Belgique en
1941, a rejoint les Forces Belges en Grande-Bretagne. S'est distingué au
cours des campagnes de Normandie, de Belgique et de Hollande en
accomplissant, avec succès, de nombreuses et dangereuses missions. Choisi
comme chef d'une section de «Bren Carriers», est arrivé, par ses
connaissances militaires, son ascendant sur la troupe, son courage, sa générosité
et son allant, à en former une section d'élite. Parti en tête de sa
section, en mission dans les positions ennemies, s'y est brillamment
comporté malgré les difficultés rencontrées et les pertes subies. Au
retour vers les lignes amies, sa mission accomplie, a été mortellement
blessé. Restera pour tous ses camarades, l'exemple du plus pur
patriotisme".

Krijgsmacht in Groot-Brittannië. Onderscheiden zich tijdens de
veldtochten in Normandië, België en Nederland waar hij met welslagen
talrijke en gevaarlijke opdrachten volbracht. Aan het hoofd van zijn
sectie met een opdracht binnen de vijandelijke linies getrokken, gedroeg
hij er zich schitterend, ondanks de moeilijkheden en de geleden verliezen.

naar de bevriende linies terugkeerde. Zal voor al zijn makkers het
voorbeeld blijven van de zuiverste vaderlandsliefde".
