It was on the 25th August 1944, while on an advance at the North of “Bois Hellain” at “La Lande St. Leger”, that (Guillaume Van den Broeck) was killed by enemy antitank weapons. His chief Sergeant DELAISSE was also severely wounded in the same attack.
